How To Send And Recieve Google Mail Massage as SMS on Your Mobile Phone

Google is everywhere they don't want to miss out in all aspect of your activity, now you can receive any massage that comes in to your Google E-mail box as an SMS on your phone.

This service works with all sort of mobile phone and does not need any Internet connection, the service is free. According to their website it is limited to three countries in africa —Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

Here is how to configure your phone
  • Go to Account Settings (Click on your profile image at the upper right of the browser window>> Account)

  • In the account setting window, click on Open SMS settings to configure your phone (select your country and set your phone number )
  • You will receive a confirmation code on your mobile phone
  • In the Notifications and forwarding section, check the box that reads "Forward my incoming email messages" then promptly replay to the massage that will be sent to your mobile phone 

Note: Normal service provider charges fee applies for Outgoing(Sent) massages

    These acts are called innovation. Google is using its talents and money wisely. Taking local conditions in account when they develop new technology. Email via SMS- why the others did not think of it! Africa , India where 3G , 4G , smart phones are beyond the major percentage of the population- this service is perfect. Imagine farmers getting rates in detail from the 'wholesale/mandi'! Hats off Google. Always a fan.

    OW that is just it, I cant perceive the internet without a Google, they are just helping out with issues—ease the technology, I cant just express how i feel about this service...I always know when it is necessary to check my Gmail account just because of Google SMS service...one really need to set that if they have an e-mail under Google mail
