Android and High Tech Mobile Device Browsing Settings

For you to use your mobile phone to browse you will have to apply mobile browsing settings. There are two ways for configuring mobile phones for browsing; they are Over the Air (OTA) configuration and Manual Configuration.

Over The Air: configuration settings (APN, UserNmane/Password, IP address..) will be sent to you from your network provider: before you receive the configuration settings you will have to request for the browsing configurations that is by sending massage to your network provider, the settings will be sent to you in form of SMS of which you will have to save and set as default browsing settings. Most mobile phone don’t support (Over The Air) OTA configuration in that case you will have to make the manual settings, the manual settings may be so technical for you to set is either you take the phone to your service provider or you follow a simple step that I will define here.

The most important thing in mobile phone configuration settings is the APN (Access Point Number) is a computer protocol that typically allows a user's computer to access the Internet using the mobile phone network, it’s owned by your network provider. for some set of phones: android, windows mobile and other bigger phones once you have set the APN you can start browsing at a blow. If you are in Nigeria get some manual configuration for your home network @ http://www.brilliantinfo.net/2011/06/mtn-glo-etisalat-and-airtel-internet.html
