How To Change Windows Icons

This one is interesting, there are different ways you can change the appearance of a folder on windows computer so that other people may not know what the folder is all about, you will be able to change the way that folder appear.

Now check at the image bellow and tell me if you will ever believe that the "Test folder"  in the right side is not a text file, this really a disguise if you want to make a private folder

Text file is no the only disguise you can do to a folder, you can also make it look like a program ready for installation, CD ROM drive icon, Hard drive icon, My network places icon, and lots more...

This is how you do just that
  • Locate and right-click on the folder you want to disguise, "Click on Share and Security..." option in the fly-out that appears.
  • In the folder properties, click on Customize tab
  •   In that same Folder properties under "Customize" section, click on "Change Icon" in the lower part of the dialog box
  • You will get another dialog box with tones of icon for disguise, scroll left and choose the one of your choice
  •   Click OK to apply
Share it with friends
