How To Enable Task Manager From Group Policy

The task manager is a program used to provide information about the processes and programs running on a computer, as well as the general status of the computer. It can also be used to terminate processes and programs, as well as change the processes priority. The task manager is most commonly accessed by pressing the buttons Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

Task manager also displays all the services (processes) that are currently running as well as those that were stopped. All information about the services such as Process ID and their group if they are applicable.

At time its use to be frustrating when you pres Ctrl-Alt-Delete and see a massage like "Task Manager have been disabled by your administrator"

This error message appears due to restriction placed in the Windows Registry. One can easily enable Task Manager by editing some registry settings. For a normal user editing registry is not easy and a bit risky so you have to take care in handling this

To edit the setting you don't have to go through registry edit. Just follow the steps I am going to give you that will lead you to group policy where you will disable/enable you system task manager.

first of all you will have to go through group policy which is like this
  •  "Window + R" on you keyboard or from the Start menu click Run
  • In the run box that appears type "gpedit.msc" then enter (OK). That give you access to your computer internal control panel
  • In the window that appear you look to the right side of your screen you will see “user configuration”
  • Double click on user "configuration" it opens
  • Double click on "administrative templates" it opens
  • Double click on "system" it opens
  • Double click on "Ctrl Alt Delete" it opens
  • Double click on "Remove Task Manager" it opens a small dialog box where you will select “Enable” and click Ok to disable the task manager, or you click on "not configured" if the task manager is already disabled and you want to enable it.
Note: You have to take note of any changes you make in group policy as so of the settings there are not to be tampered with
