DEFINE RAM AND ROM

RAM is the computer working memory; it contains all information the user is currently working on in the computer.

ROM is a permanent memory where all the necessary programs needed to start the computer is stored.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAM AND ROM

RAM is the working storage of the computer. Is also a volatile memory all information saved in RAM will be lost case of power failure.

ROM is a permanent memory of the computer. Information/programs stored in ROM can not be changed by user.

Output device are used by the computer to communicate back to the computer user.

The hardware is any part of the computer that can be seen and touched. Examples are: Mouse, Keyboard, motherboard (Main-board), Processor.

Software’s are programs running the computer and it can be any type of information inside the computer. Examples are:

Operating System, Compiler, Assembler, Application programs (Word Processor, Graphical application, Database Management application etc)

WHAT IS INTERNET?

Internet is connection of computers across the whole world for the purpose of sharing resources. It’s also an interconnection of server base network.

Intranet: this is just like the Internet but it’s managed by a single body. Intranet does not allow public connection.

Extra net: it’s a private Internet that offers Internet resources to external connection. Owned by a single organization and still offers Internet resources to public connection.
